Can work happen while members use the center?
Confirm open hours, class blocks, personal-training sessions, deliveries, and cleaning windows. Set roof access and material staging away from member entrances and accessible routes. If work occurs above a pool deck or locker room, establish barriers and notify staff before the area closes. Ask who can pause a class schedule if a roof condition changes unexpectedly.
Before the crew arrives, identify where members can enter if a studio or lobby is closed and who will update the posted class schedule. Ask the manager to designate a place for material staging that does not become a member shortcut. If staff are moving equipment below the roof, agree on a pause signal so overhead work stops until that route is clear. Document who can release the room for use again.
The occupied-building sequence should identify daily work limits, the room below, noise periods, interior protection, and the check required before reopening. Keep tools and roofing debris out of public circulation. If odors or vibration are expected, state the work period and the center contact who will communicate it to staff. End each shift with a secure, weather-tight roof and a clear handoff.
